As a website content administrator, I treat content as an ecosystem where each content element integrates seamlessly into a wider strategic framework. Here, you will find my work on the National Reentry Resource Center (NRRC) site while employed by The Council of State Governments Justice Center. After understanding the purpose of the site, its audience, and how they interact, I created a comprehensive plan for promoting web content through multiple digital channels.
After reviewing the analytics and user behaviors from the National Reentry Resource Center, I developed a content plan focused on a monthly topical spotlight that would be supported by social media posts and a monthly newsletter.
With that in mind, the visual refresh focused on pushing forward the same concept, while streamlining user experience, and highlighting content that users wanted to interact with. Unfortunately, due to the cancellation of the funding grants for the work, the content plan was cut short. However, the analytics highlighted below show short-term improvement and a glance at the plan’s potential.

The Second Chance Act Conference was the NRRC’s and CSG Justice Center’s marquee event of 2024. It convened Second Chance Act Grantees and reentry leaders from around the country to share information.
In this project, I was responsible for designing the page layout, interfacing with the development partners, deploying the final landing page, and managing the event app through CVENT. While the project was completed on a significantly tight timeline, the conference was successful and the content we produced and shared before, during, and after the event performed well. The conference welcomed 160 participants from the government sector, 366 from non-profits, 41 from academia, and 116 from the general public. Below are the total statistics for the event.
Second Chance Month is a national campaign celebrating successful reentry for people returning from incarceration and the successful reentry programs supported by the Second Chance Act (SCA). It is used to highlight the SCA’s history and impact, share relevant and new information, and showcase successful local, state, and tribal programs.
During this project, I was responsible for managing the project, designing and deploying the page layout, and communicating with the development partners. The design of this page focused on providing each section of information more space to highlight its content and reduce the information load that users would receive at a time. Below are the analytical results of the landing page compared to its previous year iteration.
