Interactive Project Management

Project management for web properties requires precise and effective planning. Failure to foresee possible issues and/or roadblocks can cause a timeline to deviate and extend beyond any prior considerations. Additionally, it is important to ensure that proposals and purchase orders are comprehensive and specific to avoid misunderstanding and miscommunications with clients. Below are some samples of my project management work while employed with Evok Advertising.

The Objective

Evok Advertising is an advertising agency that specializes in specific industries while providing them with several services, ranging from marketing to media buying. The objective of the role was to oversee the operations of interactive design and development projects. It also included the creation of estimates, proposals, website plans, and CMS training documentation for clients.

Clay County Tourism Website

The Clay County Tourism Department reached out to Evok to rework their website in order to bring it to current standards. The project required a meticulous estimation of working hours and external costs due to the client having fixed funding. With the collaboration of designers, copywriters, and account managers, the project was launched successfully. While COVID-19 generated a client-side setback, we were able to bring the project back on track with joint efforts between the development partners and myself. Below are the comparative results between the previous version and the new one.

Highlands County Tourism Website

The Highlands County Department of Tourism reached Evok to maintain their website and perform any projects and additions requested. During this ongoing partnership, several additions we made to the site as requested to further display the activities available for the public within Highlands County. Below is a sample of the projects that were done.

As part of an overall ADA overhaul, EVOK Advertising reviewed all of its clients' web products to ensure they were also in compliance. During this process, the VisitSerbing site was identified to fall under compliance. We extended the offer and estimate to the client to perform the necessary updates to make sure that the site was compliant. Once approved, we performed the updates with our development partners as requested.

The project was completed successfully and launched within the proposed timeline and following ADA compliance guidance.

They requested to build a landing page promoting the activity as well as their kick-off event. After reviewing the details of the project, I offered to build the page to reduce costs and time, as it could be completed with the built-in blocks. Once the client approved, the page was developed and launched earlier and under their budget expectations.

Seminole County Small Business Support Landing Page

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Seminole County reached out to EVOK to develop a landing page that would feature local businesses and their efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 while being operational. Additionally, it would allow businesses to submit their information for review in order to be featured on the website. In order to reduce cost and expedite delivery, both design and development were completed with the development partners. The project was completed within the expected timeline and budget, although no analytical data was provided by Seminole County regarding performance.
